Updates from the Medical Student Committee

The Medical Student Section works with the MRS Foundation to award yearly Student Scholarships for the ACR national meeting in Washington DC. Three students were awarded the scholarship in 2026. We plan on awarding 3 scholarships in 2027.

We completed our 6th Annual Medical Student Symposium, Virtual Event, on May 28, 2026. Five students won the competition with 2 honorable mentions. The 5 winners were awarded $100 prizes sponsored by the MRS foundation.

Mission

The Mission of the Michigan Radiological Society Medical Student Section is to educate medical students regarding the profession of radiology with it’s unique opportunities and subspecialties.

  • To provide academic opportunities for medical student participation in radiology case presentations

  • To provide mentorship opportunities for medical students interetested in Radiology

  • To promote awareness of the Michgian radiology residency programs
